JOB TITLE: BACK-UP DIPPER
DEPARTMENT: SHELL ROOM
REPORTS TO: SHELL ROOM SUPERVISOR
APPROVED DATE: 10/4/22

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Applies back-up dips to trees per work instructions.
  2. Follows dip schedule provided by Shell Room Supervisor or Lead on previous shift.
  3. Performs dipping operations according to procedure on Production/Process sheet.
  4. Checks viscosity every 2 hours. Adjusts as needed.
  5. Maintains slurry and sand tanks.
  6. Documents Production/Process sheet when job is completed or at end of shift.
  7. Obeys all safety rules and always wears PPE.
  8. Other duties designated by the Shell Room Supervisor or Plant Foreman.

SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • On the job training.
  • Must be able to understand English and/or Spanish.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • As provided.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Able to read the process sheet and follow written and verbal directions.
  2. Able to fill out production/process sheet documents.
  3. Able to make slurry and refill and maintain slurry and sand tanks.
