Oil & Gas Casting

Oil & Gas Castings

Investment castings used in the oil and gas industry must meet the highest standards of quality, durability, and corrosion resistance to withstand extreme operating conditions.. Milwaukee Precision Casting produces stainless steel castings and A356 castings used in applications such as ramps, heavy-duty locks, flame and flow control, and even material removal fingers. We can cast a higher internal geometry using our wax pattern process. We also verify our castings using X-rays and any customer-requested requirements.

Milwaukee Precision Casting specializes in stainless steel castings, specifically 17-4, 316, 15-5 grades. These materials have the highest corrosion resistance. However, if an oil & gas application requires hardening we suggest using 17-4 stainless steel.

Milwaukee Precision casting works with many different material grades for Oil & Gas castings, including, but not limited to:

  • 17-4 SS
    • Ideal for applications requiring both corrosion resistance and high hardness. This grade is commonly used in drilling tools, valve components, and offshore equipment.
  • 316 SS
    •  Known for its outstanding resistance to chloride corrosion, making it perfect for marine and subsea applications.
  • 15-5 SS
    • Offers a balance of high strength and toughness, often used in high-pressure valves, pumps, and fittings.
  • A356
