Cobalt alloy 12 has a similar composition to cobalt 6. Cobalt alloy 12 involves a higher hardness and abrasiveness that allows for metal to metal wear resistance. The physical and chemical properties of cobalt 12 allows for quality weldability, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
